Tsavorite & Diamond Engagement Ring showcases a deep and vivid green TSAVORITETSAVORITE One of the most valuable varieties of the garnet family, the tsavorite was only discovered in the 1960s in Africa, near the border between Kenya and Tanzania. A beautiful gemstone with a naturally vivid, clean green colour, the tsavorite is a great alternative to an emerald because it is both more durable and more affordable. , responsibly sourced from a small-scale tsavorite mine in Kenya as part of Sophie’s Mine to Mount Project. Displaying a beautiful racing green colour that is very close to that of an emerald, the 2ct emerald cut Tsavorite is framed by a double diamond HALOHALO A popular engagement ring style, halo describes a design featuring a larger centre stone encircled by a “halo” of small pavé set diamonds. that combines the sparkle of round BRILLIANT CUTBRILLIANT CUT The brilliant cut is a type of diamond or gemstone cut with 58 facets, positioned to maximise a stone’s brilliance or sparkle. For the Mine To Mount Project, Sophie travelled to Kenya to see first-hand where the Tsavorites she loves to use in her designs originate from. This 2 carat emerald cut Tsavorite was sourced directly from an artisanal mine located just outside Tsavo National Park.
All proceeds go to to Gem Legacy, a non-profit charity that promotes community development in East African artisanal gem mining communities.
