Sophie Breitmeyer, Founder and Creative Director

Sophie Breitmeyer specialises in creating jewellery that will be treasured for a lifetime, earning her a name as the modern-day family jeweller. Blending antique silhouettes with contemporary wearability, Sophie's designs are crafted to transcend the trends and be passed down through generations. Traditionally, families worked with one dedicated jeweller, where trust is valued, relationships are strong, knowledge is shared and the quality is impeccable. This is the Sophie Breitmeyer mantra.

Influenced by her upbringing and life lived as a creative, Sophie is continually inspired by the arts, history, fashion and architecture. She has a strong interest in the Art Deco movement and antique jewellery. She draws inspiration from complimentary creative disciplines to design pieces that are striking yet timeless.

After studying Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins, Sophie worked as a trainee mounter in the fine jewellery workshop, HA Jordan, before starting her eponymous brand. A supporter of traditional British hand craftsmanship, she works closely with master goldsmiths and trusted dealers to produce jewellery imbued with meaning and value. Every client and every piece of jewellery build the foundation of the SB family that is so important to Sophie.

The Showroom

The Sophie Breitmeyer showroom, located in the heart of Belgravia on Elizabeth Street, offers a welcoming and eclectic atmosphere. Designed by Christian Bense Interiors, the space feels like a luxurious home-from-home.

This retail haven is conceived as a place to inspire, relax, and educate visitors in the lively Belgravia village, ensuring clients feel comfortable and confident while making significant decisions about fine and bespoke jewellery. Inside, you'll find a relaxed setting with comfortable chairs and a revolving display of contemporary art. The design champions craftsmanship, featuring bespoke-made cabinets that elegantly showcase Sophie’s ready-to-wear jewellery seamlessly integrated amongst art books and oil paintings.

Sophie describes the showroom: "From the soft, warm, and plentiful colours to our wall of curiosities, curated with archival magazines, ornaments, and jewellery, the studio is both eclectic and welcoming. This new space was imagined to combine contemporary and traditional elements through the considered use of colour, structure, and layering.”

The Sophie Breitmeyer showroom welcomes visitors seven days a week. Whether you wish to discuss a bespoke commission, find a unique engagement ring, or simply seek friendly advice, all are welcome for a cup of tea—or something a little stronger. Bespoke consultations are available Monday to Friday.
