Emily Mitchell is a ceramicist and artist producing hand-built and hand-thrown ceramics from her studio in Norfolk. Her work grows out of an interest in everyday and historic objects to tell their own stories. She uses narrative and classic fiction, as well as museum collections and archives as a source for ideas. Her focus for work is around the idea of the ‘souvenir’ - loaded objects that are hand-sized and intimate.
